Our Story

Art, collaboration and human connection

Founded by curator and art dealer Chelsey Chase, Chase Culture grows from a background spanning contemporary art, music and cultural programming. At its heart is a belief that close collaboration with artists creates meaningful connections between artworks, ideas and audiences.

Working from Essex and London, Chase Culture develops exhibitions and projects exploring memory, transformation and human experience. Its purpose is to support artists in presenting their work with care and context, while helping collectors discover and acquire works they connect with.

Sound and live performance form a considered part of this approach, extending the conversation around the art.

Founder & Curator

Meet Chelsey Chase

Chelsey Chase is a British independent curator, art dealer and cultural producer. Her background in music and live events informs her interest in how people experience art, both individually and together.

As co-founder of Cole-Levi Klimt, she developed an exhibition programme encompassing Extensions of the Soul at Copeland Gallery, Ephemeral Imprints and Renewal at London Art Fair, and No Life Without Death at The Lightbox. These projects brought together artists working across painting, sculpture, cyanotype and installation, exploring the relationships between memory, loss and renewal.

Chase Culture builds on this experience, with artist collaboration and thoughtful exhibition-making at the centre of her practice.

The LightboxJune–July 2026

No Life Without Death

An exploration of grief, mortality and the ways loss shapes our experience of living. Bringing together painting, sculpture, photography, installation and cyanotype, the exhibition considered how facing life’s fragility can deepen our capacity for connection, tenderness and renewal.

Curated by Chelsey Chase. Presented by Cole-Levi Klimt.

Guest artists: Charlotte Worthington, Orly Kritzman and Ana Luiza Rodrigues. Ana Luiza Rodrigues is represented by Ricardo Fernandes Gallery.

London Art FairJanuary 2026

Renewal

An exploration of rebirth, endurance and transformation through material, memory and inherited histories. Centuries-old devotional objects and their traces became starting points for contemporary works, considering how what survives can be reconstructed and reinterpreted to carry new meaning.

Curated by Chelsey Chase. Presented by Cole-Levi Klimt.

London Art FairJanuary 2025

Ephemeral Imprints

Inspired by Hugo von Hofmannsthal’s poem Early Spring, the exhibition explored the fleeting nature of existence. Bringing together works concerned with memory, emotion and transformation, it considered how art preserves passing experiences and gives lasting form to moments of change.

Curated by Chelsey Chase. Presented by Cole-Levi Klimt.

Copeland GalleryAugust 2024

Extensions of the Soul
